Overcome Stress, Fear and Anxiety

A vital topic for maintaining mental and emotional well-being. Your circumstances are not the problem, your thoughts about them are.

Awakening to reality and becoming Self realized, is the fastest way to reduce or eliminate stress. Believing these deceptions, erodes the relationship you have with yourself, causing fear and self-doubt. Fear is a symptom of believing that you are “Lacking” in some way, and therefore need to go outside yourself, and accomplish this or acquire that, in order to be complete and happy. This is “The Big Lie.”

These deceptions erode the relationship you have with yourself, causing fear and self-doubt. Fear is a symptom of believing that you are “Lacking” in some way or “Separate” from others, and therefore, need to go outside yourself to accomplish this or acquire that, in order to be complete and happy. This is “The Big Lie.”

Fear is an illusion created by the mind and the ego:

When you believe you’re “Lacking” or “Separate” from others, you live in fear. In a misguided attempt to alleviate this uncomfortable belief, that we have all
identified with, we set out to prove to ourselves and others that we are good enough. Unfortunately, anything
you do, achieve or accomplish, in an attempt to prove that you’re good enough, only reinforces a deep seated core belief that you’re not.

When we live in fear, we want to believe that we can control and manipulate things. This illusion of control allows us to believe that we can push away the things we don’t like and create more of the things we do like. Both the illusion of fear and the illusion of control, keeps us stuck in a disempowered state. This state slowly erodes the relationship we have with ourselves, leading to feelings of low self esteem, poor self worth, lack of confidence, feeling alone & unsupported, stressed-out and anxious. It has to be this way, when we are believing an illusion about life and who we are. Once the illusion of fear, control, lack and separateness are transcended, clarity will start to emerge. As this transformation takes place, you will take your power back from the deceptions of the ego and start to experience deep inner-peace, freedom, and unconditional love of self and for others. The first step is to admit that what you’ve been thinking and doing, hasn’t brought you the peace & happiness you desire. Then the next step is to surrender your personal will over to something larger than yourself.

Here is a Universal Truth: “We’re not doing this thing” Byron Katie

So learn to let go and relax, as the Universe lovingly guides us through life. The only thing we can control, is how we “Meet” life, with or without resistance. This is where we exercise our “Free Will.” The choice is always yours. If you meet life with resistance, you suffer. If you meet life with acceptance, you experience deep inner-peace, clarity, and immense joy.

“Resistance is simply choosing your own personal ego driven desires, over reality or what is.”

“Remember: What you resist, persists. And what you fight against, grows stronger.”

Physical Strategies:

1. Exercise: Regular physical activity reduces stress and anxiety by releasing endorphins, also known as “feel-good” hormones.

2. Breathing techniques: Deep, slow breathing can calm the nervous system and reduce stress.

3. Sleep: Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep per night to help regulate stress hormones. Sleep can be a struggle for many, but remember, we will always get the exact amount of sleep we need, even if it is only a couple of hours, but it’s only when we complain about the amount of sleep we get, that causes our suffering around it. As for me, I like to joke about it by saying: “I guess I’ll sleep when I’m dead.”

4. Nutrition: Focus on whole, balanced meals to provide essential nutrients for mental health. Try to reduce your sugar intake, and minimize the use of alcohol, coffee or other stimulants that tend to unbalance your bodies natural ability to control and regulate your internal system.

Emotional Strategies:

1. Mindfulness: Practice mindfulness meditation, yoga, or other activities that promote present-moment awareness. Even doing the dishes can be an amazing opportunity to remain fully present. Smell the dish soap, feel the warm water, hear the squeaky sound as you rub your hands on the clean dishes, feel the floor supporting you, and always notice your breathing.

2. Self-compassion: Treat yourself with kindness, understanding, and patience, just as you would a close friend.

3. Emotional expression: Engage in creative activities like journaling, painting, or music to express and process emotions.

4. Social support: Surround yourself with positive, supportive relationships. Make sure they are individuals who have also begun the Awakening Process. Meet like minded individuals in our supportive chat rooms.

Mental Strategies:

1. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT): Challenge negative thought patterns and reframe them in a more positive, realistic light.

2. Positive self-talk: Practice affirmations or use mantras to boost self-confidence and self-worth, while challenging unhealthy, habitual thought patterns.

3. Goal-setting: Break down overwhelming tasks into manageable, achievable goals. When setting goals, it can be helpful to use the “SMART” goal method, but take it a step further by deeply imagining yourself in the life you desire. Picture yourself living that lifestyle, then put it aside. Remember, living in fantasies about the future, is only a distraction from reality and the present moment.

4. Self-reflection: Regularly examine your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to gain insight and perspective.

Additional Techniques:

1. Progressive muscle relaxation: Release physical tension by systematically relaxing different muscle groups.

2. Visualization: Imagine yourself in a calm, peaceful environment to reduce stress and anxiety.

3. Grounding techniques: Focus on the present moment by engaging your senses (e.g., noticing the sensation of your feet on the ground).

4. Seek professional help: Life coaching is NOT therapy. Consult a mental health professional if you’re struggling to manage stress, fear, anxiety, or depression.

5. One-to-One Transformational Life Coaching: Our intensive programs focus on going straight to the heart of your deep core issues and unhealthy beliefs, in an effort to quickly diminish the associated symptoms from living in the illusion of fear, lack and separation.

Be Kind To Yourself:

Remember, overcoming stress, fear, and anxiety is a journey that requires patience, self-compassion, and persistence. By incorporating these strategies into your daily life, you’ll be better equipped to manage challenges and cultivate a more peaceful, resilient mind.
