Break Identification With Form
Breaking identification with form refers to the process of transcending the ego’s tendency to identify itself with external, physical, impermanent aspects of life. Remember, you are here to experience physical life, not to identify with it. When you identify with it, you place your worth in it and then you suffer.
Illusional Identification includes:
1. Physical form: The body, appearance, and physical attributes.
2. Thoughts and emotions: Mental constructs, beliefs, and emotional states.
3. Roles and relationships: Social identities, professions, and connections with others.
4. Possessions and material wealth: External objects, wealth, and status symbols.

Identification With Ego & Thought Forms
Identification with form creates a sense of separation, limitation, and attachment. When we equate our sense of self with these external aspects, we:
1. Limit our true nature: We confine ourselves to a narrow, ego-defined identity.
2. Experience suffering: We become attached to things that are impermanent, leading to fear, anxiety, and disappointment.
3. Miss the present moment: We focus on the past (memories) or future (expectations), rather than experiencing life as it unfolds.
Breaking identification with form involves recognizing that:
1. You are not your body: Your essence transcends physical form.
2. You are not your thoughts: Thoughts are fleeting, and you are the awareness that observes them.
3. You are not your emotions: Emotions arise and pass, but your true nature remains unchanged.
4. You are not your roles or relationships: These are external labels and connections that do not define your essence.

To Break Identification with Form, Practice:
1. Mindfulness: Observe your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without attachment.
2. Self-inquiry: Regularly ask yourself, “Who am I?” or “What is my true nature?”
3. Meditation: Focus on your inner awareness, transcending external distractions.
4. Non-attachment: Cultivate a sense of detachment from external forms, recognizing their impermanence.
5. Embracing the present: Focus on the here and now, letting go of past regrets and future anxieties.
By breaking identification with form, you’ll experience:
1. Greater freedom: Liberation from the constraints of ego-defined identity.
2. Increased peace: Reduced attachment to external sources of happiness and suffering.
3. Deeper self-awareness: Greater understanding of your true nature and essence.
Remember, this is an ongoing process. Be patient, kind, and compassionate with yourself as you navigate the journey of breaking identification with form. It takes courage to seek help, not weakness.
The Big Lie:
That the physical is who you are.

Dis-identify with form:
1. Physical Form: For example, the body, homes, cars, people, places, money, education, status, etc.
2. Thought Forms: Such as, your personal thoughts, ego driven thoughts, thoughts that arise from blockages created by suppressed or repressed painful experiences, and the thoughts of others. Remember, thoughts aren’t real by definition because they are ever changing.
3. Judgments and Drama: The Ego needs drama, in any form, to survive. We keep the ego alive by feeding a constant stream of drama that stems from are personal judgements, desires and comparisons.
